WITTY INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL has a proven self designed curriculum developed by its in house curriculum department which provides the essential academic, social and physical skills that the child needs in the challenging world a positive, safe, nurturing environment enhances learning by establishing and maintaining a high level of academic and behavioural expectations. Our curriculum concerns itself with the overall development of the child. While encouraging positive individual characteristics, it promotes student responsibility, co-operation, creativity and respect for individuality and equality. WIS students not only have high academic standards, but high behavioural standards as well.

Our philosophy is that education should promote thinking and creativity, rather than rote learning. We believe that young generation will do wonders if education let them explore their mind instead of relying on memory. Our learning is inquiry-based with emphasis on play-way methods, nurturing the curiosity and creativity of students encouraging them to take intellectual risks and developing critical and independent thinking.

The school curriculum features the Interactive worksheets system for effective implementation of international & national curricula and the Grading System of Assessment. It focuses on the total growth of the developing child, touching hearts as well as minds and encompassing social, physical, emotional and cultural needs in addition to academic development.

A formal system of evaluation is put in place only from Class V onwards. Till then the focus is on exploration, experimentation and on building and strengthening conceptual basis.

Preprimary (Play Group – Sr. KG)

Witty International School follows an indigenous Pre-primary curriculum based on the ideas, theories and practices prevalent internationally to develop the students’ cognitive and motor skills.Through each unit of inquiry, the students' curiosity and imagination is sparked by exposing them to a new world of discovery while action.

Primary (Grade I-V)

At this stage, WITTY INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL follows an integrated curriculum. The Primary Programme covers the core subjects of English, Mathematics and Science, developing essential skills in literacy, numeracy and scientific enquiry while covering a good knowledge base. While at the periphery, the students receive instruction in national languages, Information technology and creative art, thus completing the continuum of holistic development. Students are exposed to a vibrant world of learning as they think independently and explore new concepts and accept greater challenges. The focus is on providing an electrifying environment through development of learner profile, attitude and skills of each child.

Middle School / Checkpoint (Grade VI-VIII)

The Middle School /Checkpoint curriculum at Witty International provides natural progression from Primary and develops children's knowledge and skills in Mathematics, English and Science. Cambridge Lower Secondary Programme is part of the Cambridge Secondary 1 stage for Middle School i.e. Grade VI to VIII.

Middle school offers a curriculum framework for educational success for learners, typically for 11-14 years old. It also provides excellent preparation for our learners embarking on Cambridge Secondary 2 (IGCSE).

We offer the core subjects - English, Math and Science as per the curriculum framework given by the CIE. Checkpoint text books recommended by CIE are used for the purpose. Students’ language skills are further enriched through training in national and foreign languages like Hindi and French. The Social Studies are also taught, the emphasis is on developing students’ understanding of their environment and deepening their reverence for rich geographical wealth and the glorious historical heritage of our country. Students are further equipped with technical skills through the study of Information and Communication Technology.

Cambridge Checkpoint Test is taken at the end of Cambridge Secondary 1 i.e. In Grade VIII. It is an innovative new diagnostic testing service marked by CIE. It provides schools with an external international benchmark for student performance. Tests are available in English, Mathematics and Science. Students will learn about their strengths and about their weaknesses they need to work on.
